Welcome to my blog where I try to post a photo taken somewhere in or around Bellefonte, PA each day or close to it. I also post various meme's here such as (ABC Wed., Skywatch Fri., Photo Meme's, Camera Critters, Weekend Mailbox) that I participate in each week, which are also focused in or around my town.

Tank
My grandson is enjoying checking out this tank at this past Sunday's Memorial Day ceremony. Tomorrow will be another photo from the Boalsburg service and then Monday will be in honor of all the military veterans out there and my posting of my dad who served in the Korean War. I will give you some details about his service then.

I think he is just playing the role like most boys would. Some, on the other hand, like to play other games and avoid the war toys. I think it is a big experience either way. Fascination with things like this that are huge never ends. Nice photo.
I just discovered a earlier that two baby robins have left the nest. Or one is still there. I have photographed those and will show them on Monday.

What a lovely shot, looks like your grandson is really enjoying himself!!
Thanks for your visits to Richmond upon Thames.
Pse keep posting about your soldiers and we'll wish that they are all home soon.
Nice series Barb. Looking forward to Monday's tribute.
Wonderful! I love these pictures. :)
Children seem to be fascinated with all this equipment.
Another generation of military men?
I hope there'll be no conflict in the world when he grows up...
When he's older, he's going to cherish that photo. Looks like he's taking it out for a spin ;)
I remember doing that as a kid too. It was fun playing soldiers as a kid. Not so pleasant in reality, unfortunately.
amazing how large these tanks are! I am sure he would have loved to drive this monster off the lot =)
Hey that's not a tank! It's a Bradley isn't it? In which case it is an Infantry Fighting Vehicle! ;)
Sorry to be precious but I was in a TANK Regiment and we get all protective when people call other types of vehicles tanks...
Great photo and you should be proud that so many of your family were brave enough to volunteer to do what they believed was right.
Mountainboy, I'm not sure what it's called except it's a tank to me. Sorry if I didn't use the right term but I myself was never in the army so I wouldn't know. Glad you corrected it. I should have asked my husband or son before calling it a tank. Thanks for stopping by.
