Steeple -Sky Watch Friday

I figured today I would show you the sky with this steeple that was on one of the churches I had posted before. Today we're suppose to get one to two inches of snow, and then tonight another inch of snow. Weather has been crappy here. This mornings temperature is 12 degrees, but the weather channel says it feels like 8 degrees.

Colorful Railroad Tracks and Blair Building

This photo is of the railroad tracks in Huntingdon at the park. Several years ago, the towns people got to paint these pillars and write on them. The tracks go behind the Blair Co. building. The Blair building is one of the older buildings in Huntingdon. Huntingdon is about an hour drive from Bellefonte.
I took this photo last weekend. They are calling for snow today, between two and six inches.

Back to the 50's with Baby's, Burgers & Shakes

Baby's is a back to the 50's restaurant and is located in State College, which is about a 20 minute drive from Bellefonte.
This photo shows the old fashion bar stools like back in the 50's. They also have the juke box and where you can select the song you want to play for a quarter.

This booth has only one side seating, and if you double click on the photo, you can read on the wall, "Can you believe that sat us here?"

Outside of Babys Burgers & Shakes.

Skunk Mailbox

I really like skunks. I used to have one as a pet. They are beautiful animals and will even go in the litter box. I also have my kitchen done up in alot of skunk photos and collectables. Anyway, when I seen this, I had to take a photo of it. I wish I had one of these mailboxes.

Another animal you maybe familar with, is Phil the groundhog. In PA it's a big deal to see whether or not he sees his shadow. They are showing it live on the Internet at their offical site starting at 7 am EST. If you want to take a look, go here: http://groundhog.visitpa.com/index.html

I forgot about theme day till the end of the day. Please take a look below of yesterdays post to see "when people think of my city, they think of", the theme for Feb.

Theme Day-City Known For...

I forgot all about theme day today, so here's mine.
Here's what I think Bellefonte is known for...Hills.

But, they are also known for more important things. The seven governors.

I couldn't post these photos without you seeing all the governors names who had at one time lived or worked or learned in Bellefonte. They put up this to honor those governors and it sits in front of Talleyrand Park. In case you can't see the names: Andrew Curtain Gov. PA 1861-1866; James Beaver Gov. PA 1887-1890; Daniel Hastings Gov. PA 1895-1898; William Bigler Gov. PA 1852-1854; William Packer Gov. PA 1858-1860; John Bigler Gov. CA 1852-1856; Robert Walker Gov. KS 1857.
