Welcome to my blog where I try to post a photo taken somewhere in or around Bellefonte, PA each day or close to it. I also post various meme's here such as (ABC Wed., Skywatch Fri., Photo Meme's, Camera Critters, Weekend Mailbox) that I participate in each week, which are also focused in or around my town.

At least these sport something living. I don't like the concrete geese dressed up in clothing parked on the front porches across America. Fortunately, around here, those have lost favor and we don't see them so much. I like your photo.
I hope you can come and learn about my being able to finally fly.
I often wonder why some folks are so fond of lawn ornaments? These are attractive, but "less is more!" Good shot!
Yard Art...some folks love it.
Hi Barb,
Thanks for visiting my blog yesterday. When I clicked on your blog I couldn't believe it because I was born and raised in Bellefonte! Small world! I'll have to come back and see photos of my home town! :-)
Ah ah! So funny! It reminds me of all these stories about garden dwarfs in France...Have you had the same thing in USA? And thank you for your nice comment on my blog.
Wow Lori, I guess small world isn't it? I've lived here for about 15 years now. I was born in a small town about an hour away from Bellefonte.
Wish my lawn looked that neatly kept! I did have a mother duck and three yellow chicks, but the dog thought they were prey! He had fun terrorizing them for a couple of weeks. Their remains were mulched in the lawn mower. A fitting end for a lawn ornament.
That's a bit of overkill, I think.
to each his own :)
That's a really interesting garden. It reminds me of my own image of a Polish garden (though much more bizarre) that I took for Toruń Daily Photo a couple of months back. You can check it out here: http://torundailyphoto.blogspot.com/2007/03/polish-garden-gnomes.html
Greetings from Toruń, Poland!
Some of the swans look like they are suspended in mid air!
At least these are pretty.
We have an elderly couple in our neighborhood who must have moved from a colder climate. They have a small "island" of trees in their front yard with concrete poured, painted white like snow, and with a couple of fake plastic deer standing in it like a winter scene. It really looks out of place with the palm trees and other native Florida stuff in the rest of their, and their neighbor's yards.
