The wisteria (I thought was lilacs) is going up the chimney is at my brother's house with the welcome sign on it.
I thought these were lilacs, and everyone helped me identify this plant as "wisteria". Thanks for your help, and I am adding this note to set myself straight. I don't want to give a false description. They look alot like lilacs though to me. Sorry, for not having my info correct.
Welcome to my blog where I try to post a photo taken somewhere in or around Bellefonte, PA each day or close to it. I also post various meme's here such as (ABC Wed., Skywatch Fri., Photo Meme's, Camera Critters, Weekend Mailbox) that I participate in each week, which are also focused in or around my town.

looks like a photo one might see in a child's fairy tale book as they enter a wonderland scene..
I reckon, soon the whole porch (?) will be a mass of lilac.
That house looks to have a basement. We don't have basements generally in Australia.
Ohhh,My favourite color! and agreed with the salems...Nice one
I really like the photograph.
I have never seen a climbing lilac before.
I at first thought it was wisteria.
i love the colour.......
I believe that's a Wisteria vine. I can't grow it in south Florida but I wish I could.
Oh I love lilacs! We have them here in Oslo this time of year. They smell so good and look really lovely.
I love how these grow on the chimney! :)
I love lilacs! Their fragrance is so beautiful. I can just smell them now!
Google wisteria and I think you will find your vine.

they have the most wonderful smell. Great way to welcome guests or family!
I love the rustic look. Like the salems said, it looks like a fairy tale garden -- a secret garden, perhaps.
Thanks everyone. It just might be the wisteria. I didn't look at it too close, was mostly interested in the photo. It's my brothers house. Maybe I'll post a photo of my lilacs tomorrow.
Thanks for all the info about this vine. That looked like lilacs.
I'm like Abraham - I thought it was wisteria. Very nice.
Well it doesn't matter whichever it is, its lovely and probably has a sweet scent anyway.
That does look like wisteria, and I like the scaffolding that it's growing on.
Your new format is nice... easy to read, too.
I love wisteria, but don't see any in Florida. There might be some around, but I've not seen it.
Generally lilacs bloom up, while wisteria like these hang down like grapes.
