Welcome to my blog where I try to post a photo taken somewhere in or around Bellefonte, PA each day or close to it. I also post various meme's here such as (ABC Wed., Skywatch Fri., Photo Meme's, Camera Critters, Weekend Mailbox) that I participate in each week, which are also focused in or around my town.

Thanks for your comment. I am wondering why no one lives in this bird house. Could it be because of that decoration? Not that it is bad looking I just haven't seen decorated bird house:)
Thanks for your comment.
Do you think birds don't like the visual looks or is it too low to be safe?
Not sure but there isn't even a nest in there, so I believe it is unused.
Everything looks so green already. You'll have to let us know if any birds move in. A very pretty spring picture!
I like your photo of the vacant house.
I posted about the sexual behaviour of ducks today (with photos).
Maybe the birds thought that was too upscale for them. That's a pretty painted birdhouse, unlike the ones in my yard, on my trees, where the chickadees raised their first young.
It looks like the front is detaching from the rest of the house. Maybe there's something wrong, very wrong, with the place, like it's a trap, and the birds know it! :-)
Town life seems far off in this quiet green corner of a nice garden or is there something the birds don't like in the bigger picture?
I think it is really, really old.
This is out of town a little bit. Not far, but enough that they should like it if they wanted to live in it. But, I think the house is so old that maybe it is unlivable on the inside. Looks nice in a photo anyway.
Maybe you just caught the house between tennants?
Bird houses like this always makes me think of snakes hiding in there. I mean, you never know what else can get into that thing.
Abe Lincoln has photos of raccoons hiding in the bird house. Eck!
Pretty little birdhouse, the nesting season is just getting underway for some birds now, maybe someone will move in soon.
I love birdhouses! I know, though, that we make most of them to please us, not the birds. :)
Difficult to know why a bird-house is chosen or not...Maybe birds don't like the smell of painting, maybe the house is too low...I have several bird-houses in my tiny garden and the first one to be chosen every year by a bluetits family is just above the front door!
Well in real estate i like to say that the more unique the property is...the more unique the buyer needs to be. And thats a pretty unique Bird house, very pretty though...can't wait to see what moves in.
By the way; (say this out loud) Sam: How do you catch a unique bird?
Suzy: Why unique up on him!
Sam: How do you catch a tame bird? Suzy: The tame way!
I am so sorry, I know those are unbearably bad but I couldn't resist!
