Chicken Signs

These signs were along a Boalsburg road. I guess they wanted to send a message for all to see, so their chickens are safe. Maybe those chickens got a little to close to the road too many times. (Just click on the photo to enlarge if you need to). The first sign is a little hard to read and says; "Slow Down".

Years ago, when men shaved with double edge razors and some still used straight razors, a company, Burma Shave, erected thousands of these signs along roadsides. And they were always very clever and most appreciated them. This was a reminder to me of those days.

Tanty, yes I did and my windows need washed really bad. Can you tell? The signs were so close to the road but farther apart and there is a curve in the road so I didn't want to get out and get run over.

How cute - obviously the farmer is sick of his chooks not laying after their mad dashes across the road to avoid hurtling vehicles!!!

Humorous and clever signs. They certainly are attention grabbers.
