Snow on Birdhouse

Well, I guess here's the snow for the snowman I posted yesterday. It snowed about 2-3" last night. Not much, but everything is covered in white this morning. The birds aren't even out.

Snowman Pole

Here's a snowman pole going toward Pine Grove Mills about a 30 min. drive from Bellefonte. I think the snowman is over a lamp post and it's lights up at night.

Special Homemade Star - Merry Christmas!

Today, I'd thought I'd show you a special tree ornament from my tree. The star was made from my friend, Betty, about fourteen years ago, and I still put it on the tree.

I took this photo before the snow storm. We didn't get as much as they said, but the ground is still covered in snow. The snow is hard in places where you can walk on top of it. My dog can anyway.

This photo was taken before the big storm. Figured I'd better get out and take a few photos, because today probably won't be leaving the house. Yesterday evening it started raining with ice, and then last night started snowing. It's suppose to still snow today.

Sky before the Storm

Here's the sky taken this morning before the big snow storm we're suppose to get. Depending on which weather channel you listen to, we're suppose to get between 6" to 10" with a possibility of up to 15". This is suppose to start this afternoon into Sunday. I hope we don't get that much.

I know this is too dark, but haven't gotten out to take some more new ones. This is in the neighborhood. I've had the flu the past couple of days. Feeling better today, but now it's icy outside.

Santa's Railroad Car Sleigh

I think this is really cute. They have a Santa driving his railroad car with his reindeer. If you live around here, it's on Irish Hollow Rd. They have lights on it, but when I went to take the photo, the lights weren't on yet.

Wreaths for Sale

Here's some wreaths for sale.

This store sells wreaths and Christmas stuff, along with trees in the winter. In the summer they sell plants of all kinds. This photo wasn't too good, but thought I'd show it anyway.


My computer is semi-back up and running. They need to tweek a few things, because it's slow. I'll be back later to visit everyone.

These are on our bushes in the front of our house. They are not edible. I believe this bush is called the burning bush. It gets red leaves in the fall.

Gazebo

Here's the gazebo at Tallyrand Park. They have it all decorated with a tree inside. Right next to that area they are working on doing some construction, but I'm not sure what. They've been working at the park for awhile now in different areas.

Ducks Following Family

As soon as the ducks see someone they are ready to see if you have food. As we were getting into the car to leave, I noticed this family walking by. (See yesterday's post)

Grandson with Ducks at Tallyrand Park

Ducks surrounding my grandson at Tallyrand Park. They thought he had food. When I first moved to Bellefonte, years ago, ducks covered this park. It was packed with them where you couldn't even walk. Then they put a ban on feeding them so some of them would leave. They have a fish food machine at the end of the bridge where you can put a quarter in and feed the fish.

The Waffle Shop

The Waffle Shop is a good place to eat for breakfast foods or lunch. They close at 3pm so you can't order dinner here. They have good coffee and I love ordering the strawberry waffle.

Cool Beans Coffee & Tea

This is a cute coffee and tea place in Bellefonte. In the summer months you can walk by and see people sipping their drinks outside.
I didn't see the reflection of the buildings in the windows on the opposite street till I looked at the photo later.

Courthouse and Town Tree

Here's the tree they put up in Bellefonte, which sits in front of the court house.

Centre County Jail

Here's a photo of the new jail that they built within the last two years. I forget the exact date. The other one was really small.
