Welcome to my blog where I try to post a photo taken somewhere in or around Bellefonte, PA each day or close to it. I also post various meme's here such as (ABC Wed., Skywatch Fri., Photo Meme's, Camera Critters, Weekend Mailbox) that I participate in each week, which are also focused in or around my town.

Wreaths in Cemetery
People remembering their loved ones around Christmas time by putting wreaths on their graves.
This photo was taken before the big storm. Figured I'd better get out and take a few photos, because today probably won't be leaving the house. Yesterday evening it started raining with ice, and then last night started snowing. It's suppose to still snow today.

This is so nice to see, and a nice tribute to the past we miss. I love Christmas but I know others who for what ever reason do not look forward to it. I hope this year their pain can ease just that little bit more and they can look back to the happy times.
That is a wonderful tradition. I had never heard of it before. I wish we did that in France at Christmas.
I wish I lived closer to where my mom is buried. . . .I would like to put something on her grave.
Hi Barb, It's a good thing to get out and take a few photos ahead of the bad weather. I have been reminded of the need to do that myself. I almost ran out of archived photos and the weather here has been so gray and rainy that nothing seemed worth photographing. Luckily the sun has returned.
I liked seeing this Christmas remembrance of those who paved the way before us.
That is really beautiful. Here in Portugal (a major catholic country) the day to remember the departed beloved ones is the 1th of November. It's called the All Saints Day. People also cover graves with lot's of flowers.
But this here photo of yours is quite magic.
This placing Christmas wreaths on graves is not done here where I live. I am stunned to see it done there. I wonder what the difference is?
I like that, I have not seen wreaths on graves before either. It's very nice I think.
I love the wreaths!
