Down The Railroad Tracks


This photo was taken near Pleasant Gap, which is only about a 5 minute drive from Bellefonte.

Your trees and bushes and the sky looks like what we have around here. Except we now have a bike trail where the railroad tracks used to be.

I love the way the tracks disappear into the distance in your shot. That's a great photo. You can just picture the train coming.

This take me back many many years to when as a touth I would walk the line collecting coal which would drop from or be knocked from coal carriages. I did this and collect wooden blocks from the lines or anything else I could find a use for. I also looked out for rabbit holes and would work them with ferrets to help mum feed us all.
I was reminded of all that and much more by this view today Barbs
