I should think a tree like this gives you much pleasure, I have to silver birch I planted a fair few years ago now and still look at them as if it is the first time I have seen them. It seem that something is always happening in, with, of around them. Enjoy your blue spruce ... go outside and hug it. … it might turn red from blushing. … ha! Looking forward to sharing comments and post with you this coming week.

Your post reminded me of old Roy Summers who for ages owned and operated the local hardware store here in town. He gave away little tiny blue spruce seedlings and my neighbor across the street got two of them and planted them. I can look at them today, some 42 years later and both are about 30 to 40 feet tall. And they grow slow.

Nice post.
