I noticed all these cows lying down on the ground by the gate. Normally, I always see them standing.

It is strange to see them sitting down. How are you suppose to cow tip?
If you see cows lying down, it means it's going to rain! They are saving themselves a dry spot!
I was going to say So why are they lying down for a change, but I see others have advised you. So did it rain?

Great shot of the Holstein dairy cows. I must confess, I don't miss having to milk twice a day - especially getting up early for the morning milking. My husband says he misses breeding the show dairy cattle though, but, again, not the milking ;-)

I too have heard that cows sitting down means rain the next day !! I am very curious to know , did it ?

Do you suppose cows are very bright? I don't think so but then I don't know for sure!
To everyone who asked, I'm not sure if it rained or not. I think that day it was suppose to but I forget if it did. Next time I see cows lying down, then I will take more notice.
