ABC Wednesday - Letter "O" = Owl

I took this photo at Delgrosso's Arts & Crafts Fest in the fall of last year. There was a rescue group they had some animals with them to show. The red eye came from my flash. I'm not sure what their normal eye color is, I believe brown.

Oh how pretty he is! I love the brown and white feathers. I'd like to see an owl up close.

My second consecutive owl. Hope he isn't kept in that cage for too long as it looks a bit small, but I guess that's probably to transport him.

What a beautiful owl. He looks sad locked up in that cage though.

An owl behind bars - gives one furiously to think...

I wonder how you cage an owl! I'd think they'd be hard to catch.

Poor thing, he needs to be free.

Is this owl living there or was it in the cage just to recover?
Owls are great birds and often provide great photos.

Huge! One was on our windowsill a few months back. We just listened, daring not to move.

Quint and others,

I believe this owl was brought there for people to see and try to get educated but after they recover, I believe they are set free if they can fly and if not put somewhere like a zoo where they have space. At least I hope so.

Third owl I see today...
Its obvious that owls are fascinating birds...In spite of the red eye, your photo is interseting, but "your" owl seems sad in the cage...
