I took this photo at Delgrosso's Arts & Crafts Fest in the fall of last year. There was a rescue group they had some animals with them to show. The red eye came from my flash. I'm not sure what their normal eye color is, I believe brown.

Old Coke Machine -Sat. Photo Hunt

Today's word for the photo scavenger hunt is "Stuffed". I guess you could say this coke machine is stuffed with plants or maybe weeds by the looks of it.

Humpty Dumpty Wall Mural - Photo Hunt 13

This wall mural is on a building in downtown State College. (S.College is about a 20 min. drive from Bellefonte) I've seen it before when I go into the library which is across the road but never really took that much notice. Guess I decided to look at it further.

I joined in on the Saturday photo of where this weeks prompt #106 is to take something with thirteen (13) in it. This is a wall mural that has 12 children on it and counting Humpty it is a total of 13. (There's two puppets in the upper left corner, but those do not count.)

Yellow Umbrellas - Project Yellow

This is a florist near State College (about a 20 min. drive from Bellefonte). I went for pizza the other day and noticed her display in the window. She's right beside a pizza place. The store is called; "Queen Anne's Lace". Anne makes beautiful wreaths, flower arrangements, etc. She did our wedding about 15 years ago. I thought I'd post this for project yellow everyone's been doing. I have a thing for different umbrellas and collect postcards with umbrellas in them.

Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt-Sharp

This is my first time participating in the Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt. The word for this week is "Sharp". This was a really hard word to come up with something, but after I thought about it, it seemed easier. Here's my grandson, Landon, age 5, looking "sharp". He loves his suit, and was so happy when he found out the Easter Bunny brought him one. He was only disappointed it didn't come with a red bow tie.

State College Mural

If you double click this mural, you can see the three ladies statue I posted on April 3rd. They are toward the bottom about the middle by the Civil War men on the horses. You can also see Joe Paterno the Penn State football coach to the right sitting in the chair. He has the blue jacket on leaning on the table, and wearing glasses. They have different paintings of things around our county on this mural.

Car Wreck

This crash happened on Thursday afternoon, April 3rd. I was getting gas at Sheetz when I heard this crash. I looked around, and seen this car smashed up at the intersection. I didn't see it happen, just heard it. I didn't see the other vehicle. From what other people were saying, no one was majorly hurt. If you double click to enlarge the photo you can see the whole side of the front peeled off.

I was taking photo's and decided to do more of some close ups and a back view. I really like how the first one with the single lady turned out.

Boalsburg is known for being the birthplace of Memorial Day with observances dating back to 1864. These three ladies, Emma Hunter, Sophie Keller, and Elizabeth Meyer placed flowers on loved ones graves who were lost in the Civil War.

ABC Wednesday - Letter "K" = Kranich's

The clock has Kranichs written on the top. It sits in front of Kranichs Jewelry Store in State College. (State college is about a 20 minute drive from Bellefonte.)
