How many rakes do you need?

How many different kinds of rakes do you need? Obviously, my mom needs three. She had these leaning on the tree and I thought it would be a good photo.

I guess you need a lot of rakes if you are going to get people to help you! Nice photo!

Beetle, I just bought a back scratcher at Bed, Bath & Beyond yesterday. My shoulder has been hurting and I couldn't reach back there, so when I seen it, I bought it.

This picture somehow cracked me up. Thanks!

Nice photo. So having all those rakes, does that mean your mom gets lots of help with the yard work?

northbayphoto, No I think just her and my dad do the yard work. I live a little farther away so it would be alot of running for me. They both seem to like working in the yard. That's the only past-time they have other than they love Bingo. You know...Bingo!

She's energetic! I don't recognize the one in the middle...

Perhaps its a bit like Tom Sawyer getting everyone to paint his fence. Mom gets lots of help that way.
Good shot.

Lessie, The one in the middle they sell on QVC, not sure if that's where she bought it. It's to pick up leaves and things so you don't have to bend over or pick them up with your hands.

I just took the photo the way she had them set up. I didn't touch anything but I kinda had to laugh too when I seen them.

Rakes...the backbone of a well kept yard. Nice photo.

My dad has two rakes, and he'd argue that each one performs a specific function. Or so he says ;)

Your folks must be quite the workers, using three rakes at one time :) Nice capture!

In answer to your question, you won’t have to worry about the locust (cicada) for some time. The last year was 2004 so with their 17 year life cycle it will be 2021 before they are back. There is always a few each year and I heard one a couple of days ago.

We don't need them right now. We are living in the city right now, and there is no space for gardens. but one day we are going to live outside the city, maybe on the countryside so maybe we'll need some.
There's two of so so we propabbly will be need just two. ;)))
