Mellow Yellow Monday - American Goldfinch

Here's a close up. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this bird is called an American Goldfinch.

This is the same bird on the ground eating a sunflower seed.

My very favorite feeder bird, especially when they come in a large group and your backyard is just bright with yellow. I used to feed a lot of birds but the bigger starlings moved in and ate me out of house and home. Thanks for sharing your little feathered friend. Have a wonderful Monday.
