Welcome to my blog where I try to post a photo taken somewhere in or around Bellefonte, PA each day or close to it. I also post various meme's here such as (ABC Wed., Skywatch Fri., Photo Meme's, Camera Critters, Weekend Mailbox) that I participate in each week, which are also focused in or around my town.

Hawk
This hawk (I think it was a hawk, someone correct me if I'm wrong) was injured and the game commission was showing these birds at the Delgrosso's Arts & Craft Fair near Tyrone, PA.
Today is Wordless Wednesday at my personal blog site. If you liked to see piglets go here: http://lv2scpbk.blogspot.com

Beautiful bird isn't it?? Do they release them when they are well again???
I'm not sure. I would hope so unless they can fend for themselves than maybe they get stuck in a zoo. I hope they don't get stuck in those tiny cages all the time they had them in.
Should read: unless they "Can't" defend themselves.
It looks like a young Coopers Hawk with a broken wing. I assume they are treating it or have.
Hope it gets better soon...
Wow he has a beautiful face! Yes, I think that's a hawk too. I'm sure they are taking good care fo him. Great shots!
(I haven't forgotten about the 8 facts, it's been a crazy week!)
Beautiful. I'm so happy he was rescued.

I hate to see Raptors caged, I hope the wing heals and it can hunt for itself and be freed.
I love the fact that there are people out there to helps these guys... Tag your it! Check my blog for instructions...
Good closeup. Maybe he can soon rejoin the wild.
lv2scpbk, you've been tagged by me! Visit my Wednesday Oct 17, 2007 blog to know what to do.
I like this more than piglets. :)
Nice sharp focus on the eye in that first image, Barb.
Some birds are so majestic looking, like hawks and eagles.
Gives new meaning to the words, "Hawks eye"!
