Barb, that's so perfect! What a lovely vintage pumper truck. The fire department must be so proud of her!
Happy theme day,

You dont see the yellow fire trucks anymore. The used to have them in my hometown in Illinois. Neat choice.

Never seen one before.

Yellow is indeed an unusual colour for a fire engine. Years ago I read that yellow is the best colour for visibility for an auto. We actually bought a yellow station wagon which turned out to be a real lemon plus it was totalled in a highway accident. So much for visibility!! Didn't help, tho, that the guy who hit us was high on drugs.

For some reason I thought all fire trucks were red, so I learned something today. This is vibrant and marvellous and it's interesting to read Kate's comment on visability and yellow. Nice choice for today.

Great choice. I've seen yellow pumpers but they were newer models.

It reminds me of those tomka toy trucks we used to get. Cool image.

That vintage pamper truck was excellent. You can also move to our digger derrick trucks.

That is a private collector in Lemont, PA, not Pleasant Gap. Our engines are White over Red scheme. As far as I know, our engines have always been red or white over red.

Nice picture of the collection.

Marc, Thanks for the correction. I knew that was Lemont, not sure why I wrote Pleasant Gap. Guess that's what I had on my mind when I was typing.
