Sky Watch Friday - Cross

I'm a little late posting for skywatch but here it is. I really liked this cross in one of the cemeteries in Bellefonte.

ABC Wed. - "I" = Interesting

Today's letter for ABC Wednesday is "I". Since I couldn't think of anything I chose a word "Interesting". These two photos are from a miniature train set display in Pittsburgh. Most of the scenes they have are replicas of somewhere around Pittsburgh. Here you can see the train traveling through the hills and the coal mine. The display is huge and fills up a large room with a guy sitting in the room all day to conduct the tracks and any problems. You can find this train at the Carnegie Center in Pittsburgh. We went to visit the Titanic display they had but I wasn't allowed to take photos of that. This train display has a stream, amusement park, and numerous other things displayed. It's a wonderful display if you ever get the chance to go.

Also, I have a favor to ask if you don't mind. My bother-in-law had a relative who just passed away a few months ago and aksed me to create a tribute photo for him. I posted them on my other blog here http://lv2scpbk.blogspot.com and would like to know which one you like best. Thanks.

September Theme Day - Sister Cities

The Olive Garden Restaurant

Today's theme is to post a sister city of your town. Since I don’t have a sister city for Bellefonte, I decided to just choose one. I chose Allentown, PA which is about a three hour drive from me.
The lists of sister city for PA can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sister_cities_in_Pennsylvania

Here it explains about sister cities. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Town_twinning Sister cities description and To read more about the description of how a sister city works http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sister_Cities_International

Allentown, PA is a sister city to Vinci, Italy where Leonardo da Vinci was born on 15April 1452. You can read more about him here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vinci%2C_Italy

I decided to show you both flags of the United States and Italy.

The Italian flag

The American Flag
