I believe the People's Choice got started in Boalsburg (15 minutes from Bellefonte) because State College Arts Fest just got too expensive for the local people. I go to the State College Arts Fest maybe once every 3 or 4 years. The arts there is just out of my price range. This one is more affordable.

Peoples Choice Arts & Crafts Festival
I believe the People's Choice got started in Boalsburg (15 minutes from Bellefonte) because State College Arts Fest just got too expensive for the local people. I go to the State College Arts Fest maybe once every 3 or 4 years. The arts there is just out of my price range. This one is more affordable.

One of my favorite pasttimes is attending festivals. It seems like there's one every weekend somewhere near Dayton. This past weekend it was the "Swamp Romp" in Kettering. Cajun food and zydec music.
This festival looks well-attended! Our neighborhood festival which is really quite impressive begins this Friday, and I can't wait! DH avoids them like the plague, but I love them. Aren't you glad that there's variety in life??
You're right, the art at the State College arts festival is getting so expensive! I like the people's choice fesival too, much more in my price range. I like your photo of it. It looks like that grass really needs some rain!

When driving back from Milroy, I noticed there was a big art festival. Regret not visiting there.

Viola, You should stop by the Peoples Choice something if you can. It's great.
Olivier, The cost I'm talking about is the prices of some of the art people sell. The People's choice is prices most people can afford. If you go to the other one, I've seen pictures priced anywhere from $500.00 to $5,000.00. Too expensive for me or maybe even the average Joe. I like to go look sometimes but don't do it too often. You have a hard time finding parking and it's better to park and ride the bus, but it's just a hassle.
Certainly looks like lots of people go to this one!! Looks like a lot of fun :o)

I like a festival with lots of choices. This one certainly looks like it has them.
Even the People's Choice is out of my price range! I did like the wooden toys though.Got a car for my son.
Fun to see another local in the blog world. I don't have time for a Photo A Day but I'm also scouting around for photo ops in Bellefonte and State College (where I live).
Felicia, Yes, on my personal blog you can see the fish wall hanging I bought for my bathroom wall. I also bought a glow in the dark pendant and a gourd bird-feeder. That was it.
Apparently... the People's Choice is white tents.

Looks like the ground is rather dry there too. Are you also having a drought? Craft fairs are so much fun!
