Fall is Here

Hi all, It's been a long absence since I posted. I've been busy with my mom who was in the hospital and passed away recently. A true saddness to lose your mom. But, thought I'd start posting again. I started taking photos again so hope you will start visiting my site.

A fall/autumn photo...The leaves are starting to turn.

Bellefonte

On the corner in Bellefonte along the main street.

Talk to the Hand

This seems to be the sign at one of the lights that doesn't change much. I have never seen the walk sign while I sit there waiting for the light to change. But, there isn't many people walking either.

Night-time and Trees Blooming

I got this photo at night with the lights and the trees blooming over by the mall. Looked so pretty with all the white blooms on the trees.

Local Library

How often do you use your library?

I'm pretty much there every week looking for books or some type of movie. But, mostly I am looking for audio books to listen to in the car. I usually won't buy audio books because they are just too expensive, so those I will check out at the library.

I have plenty of books to read on my shelves at home that will keep me busy for over five plus years but that still doesn't stop me from checking out other books I want to read.

Do you listen to audio books? Love to read books instead? Both? How many books do you think you read in a month?

I personally will have a book that I am reading and one in the car to listen to at all times. And, I also may be looking through a health, exercise, or self-help type book at the same time.

Woodpecker

I noticed this woodpecker on my lilac bushes pecking away. Love the looks of them and I rarely see them. Lucky for me I always have my camera in tow.

Wedding Table

I took this photo at my one friends son's wedding.

Green Door

I love the looks of this Spanish style house but it seems a little out of place since most houses don't look like this in our neighborhood. I still like it though.

Joe Pa - Football Coach

Joe Paterno known as Joe Pa, born in 1926 and died Jan. 2012. He was a coach at Penn State, father, husband, friend to many, but mostly a inspiration. He inspired many, many people looked up to him. They thought of him as a honest guy, humble, and lived that way too.

This statue was put up years ago because Joe Paterno has been a couch for many many years, but now people are visiting it to remember Joe. A memorial.

At Joe's funeral about 12,000 people came to State College to remember him and leave something behind.

7" of Snow

Snow is pretty but I hate shoveling.

Weis Market

Here's a photo of the Weis Market in Bellefonte. I noticed the hiring sign up so am figuring maybe they are starting to hire for the new store they are putting in about two miles down the road. This one will close and a new bigger one will be opening soon. They are still working on the new store and now have the signal lights up but not turned on and the new one will have a gas station.

Another Frosty Leaf

Here's another frosty leaf when I was out walking. Photo was taken the same day I photographed the other leaf I just posted. I loved how the frost surrounds the edges.
