I think this guy said this was a hawk. Correct me if I'm wrong. I really like how the sunlight is coming through on the wings.

Barb: That is a great photo of the Red-tailed Hawk. You can see the sun coming through the tail and that is what you spot when on wing.
i dont know if it's a hawk or not, but it's a fascinating photo. i love watching Bird shows at our wild animal park (san diego)

A beautiful animal, and quite the hunter. They show up at my bird feeders during the winter, and they aren't looking for sunflower seeds.
